Timing is everythingConsidering that our digestive system uses about 75% of our energy, we would be wise not to burden it and make digestion even more tasking. The canary has some suggestions for eating patterns that will make the process more efficient and have the benefits of more energy. First and foremost, give your digestive system a nice long break from working so hard. Try eating your evening meal around 6pm. This is when the day is winding down and we don't typically need the same level of energy. This will allow your system at least 12 hours rest before it begins working on the next days meal, breakfast. Breakfast is the perfect time to eat fruit. Not only does it provide fast energy it is digested quickly and cleanses and tones the digestive system in the process.
